But a new study by the consultancy firm Deloitte has found that people in Boston are statistically less willin to use this new alternative healthcare option. The percentags of patients who were likel to use a retail clinic if it cost half as much as a doctor visit was 30percent nationwide, but only 21 percenft in Boston. The percentage of patients that have actuallyu used a retail walk in clinic in the past year was 13 percen nationwide and only 5 percentin Boston. Even a one week wait for a doctoer would not entice very many Bostonians to go to aretaill clinic: just 18 percent of Bostonians said that would make them change their compared with 28 percent nationwide.
